Toshiro Mifune

One of, if not my most favorite actor. Toshiro Mifune has been in countless Japanese films that have received tons of recognition here in the states and all around the world. Seven Samurai spawned a western remake known as the Magnificent Seven. The Hidden Fortress was George Lucas' inspiration for Star Wars (though the feudal settings coupled with swords and warring clans may throw you at first glance).

At any rate, here it is...my portrait of a man I would have done anything to have met.

I've got a few things to do before this is finished, but it's pretty much all there. Some hair highlighting and shadows...that's about it!

Lightened the shading on Mifune's right hand...it was too dark...too distracting. Tightened the crop (you won't even notice)
